Information is key! This can’t be overemphasized. Sometimes, many enter the weekend in a full T.G.I.F mode. It is, therefore, advisable to check your mail first thing on Monday morning. When you’re in the office or school, check your emails for anything that needs an urgent response. You can always snooze come back to the less important mails in the afternoon. Also, check the news for any important headlines you might have missed.
They remember that there is Tuesday.
Although, Monday is usually chaotic with unscheduled appointments, it’s important to not overwork yourself. Successful people know the importance of remembering that Monday is followed by Tuesday. Attend to pressing goals and tasks first and save the rest for the following day.
They PLAN their week.
Don’t forget that there’s a whole week ahead of you so you have to plan it well and have enough time to do everything. Set your goals for the week in your schedule and to-do list. The most successful people in the office know what they have to do from the minute they walk in, they’ve already written their to-do lists. Define what your priorities are, set your schedule, getting the ‘tough tasks’ done first, give yourself realistic deadlines, and minimise distractions.
