Police spokesman, CP Frank Mba paraded a 20-year old man, Abubakar Amodu, in Abuja on Wednesday. Amodu allegedly conspired with some others to kidnap his father for N2 million. He confessed to colliding with a kidnap gang to abduct his father who is a cattle rearer. Meanwhile, Amodu was earlier convinced by the gang that since his father was rich, he should be kidnaped for money. Eventually, he got N200,000 as his share of the operation before being arrested. Force spokesman CP Frank Mba said five AK-47 rifles and N765,000 cash, among others, were recovered from the suspects.
