The remains of a 65-year-old woman, known as Iya Majeobaje, was on Saturday recovered from the well of a mosque in Osere area of Ilorin, Kwara State capital. She was in charge of the mosque’s sanitation and had reportedly fell into the well on Friday evening while attempting to fetch water with which to clean the mosque. A resident, who had gone to the mosque Saturday morning to fetch water from the well, discovered the body and raised alarm. Officers of Fire Service at Unity, Ilorin were then alerted. Confirming the incident, the Director of the State Fire Service, Mr. Tiamiyu Raji said personnel from the Fire Service removed the body from the well on Saturday afternoon while the corpse was taken to the ‘B’ Division of Police State Command, Surulere, in llorin metropolis.
