Since the investigation into the $2.1billion arms deal blew open, big shots in government during the Goodluck Jonathan-led administration are being interrogated. The arrowhead of this scandal is the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki(retd.) who has been in detention since December 2015. Though the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has said Goodluck Jonathan can only be summoned on President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, there are indications that Jonathan may be invited by the anti-graft agency.
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and former minister of aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode raised the alarm earlier today via his Twitter account that, “The greatest blunder and strategic error that the Buhari government can ever make is to arrest Goodluck Jonathan(@GEJonathan) for no just cause. Mark it.”
