A middle-aged man claiming to be mentally-unstable has been arrested by detectives of the Ondo State Police Command. He was arrested in Ijapo area of Akure, after some residents in the estate suspected him to be an armed robber monitoring the area. When arrested, found in his possession were an unspecified amount of money, jewelries and no fewer than 18 Automated Teller Machine(ATM) cards of different banks. Confirming the arrest, Police spokesman, Femi Joseph said: “We do not want to presume that he is a mad man. There are medical tests he needs to undergo for us to believe him. If at the end of the day he is found to be a robber, as it is being speculated, he will face the wrath of the law.”
