The Benue state Commissioner of Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Sekav Iortyom, has been questioned by the state Police Command over the murder of a lecturer Mr. Wilfred Tersoo Tondo  at the University of Mkar in Gboko. Recall on 11th August 2016, unknown gunmen killed Tondo at his official residence within the University of Mkar in Gboko local government area of the state.
