The funeral obsequies for patriarch of the Peterside family, Chief (Dr.) Michael Clement Atowari Peterside, have been announced. The nonagenarian died on 15th January 2016 at the age of 98 years. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Patricia G. Peterside(nee Bob-Manuel); daughters Mrs. Tonye Unuigbe, Mrs. Belema Osibodu; a son Amaopu Atedo N.A. Peterside, CON; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Chief (Dr.) Michael Peterside’s funeral plans are as follows:
Tuesday, 9 February 2016: Celebration of Life/Evening of Tributes @ Atlantic Hall, Presidential Hotel, Port Harcourt by 4pm
Saturday, 13 February 2016: Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Church, Opobo Town, Rivers State by 11am
Interment(Graveside) – Immediate family only
Reception(Immediately after the Funeral Service):
Venue – Grounds of the Town Hall
Friends attending either event are expected to collect security passes from family members to facilitate access to the venues and also facilitate road and water transportation arrangements to Opobo.
