Former deputy national chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has expressed shock that Senator Ali Modu Sheriff declared himself as the authentic national chairman of party. Recall on Monday, Sheriff forcefully made his way into the PDP secretariat, in Abuja, saying that he was armed with court orders to act in such manner. Describing Sheriff’s action as unprecedented in the history of the party, Bode George on Channels TV in Lagos said, “What happened on Monday was a charade, very shocking and having been in the party since 1998, I have never seen such behavior.” He said that the party was open for dialogue and reconciliation, urging Sheriff to explore the option.
