Senator Bode Olajumoke, one of the leading voices of the party from the South-West and also a member of PDP Board of Trustees(BoT), has refuted claims that he rejected a proposal by Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State to contest the office of National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP). According to Olajumoke: “As far back as August 27, 2015, Governor Fayose sent a text to me asking me to show interest in the national chairmanship of PDP at the next convention and I replied him the next day, saying he should let me know when we can meet to discuss. But he never did until today. When he said that I did not respond when I met him at Gbenga Daniel’s birthday and he was talking about my body language, I said come on what do you mean by my body language? I cannot be bothered with where the chairman-ship is zoned to, as long as there is wisdom in what they are doing. If the leadership of the party is not conscious of the need to pacify all the zones, good luck to them.”
