The Federal Government of Nigeria as offered to pay the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) additional N15 billion Revitalisation fund. This was disclosed on the official twitter handle of ASUU. This fund is in addition to the N20 billion paid earlier to the union. This makes a total of N35 billion committed towards revitalisation of universities by the government. The agreement was reached during a meeting in Abuja, today, between the union members and representatives of the federal government led by Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige. The union has, however, stated that strike continues.
