Today makes it 35 years that Pa Josiah Akindayomi, founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), passed away.Before his death, he passed on the mantle of leadership to Pastor Enoch Adeboye and since then, the church has continued to grow in leaps and bounds.

Eulogizing their late father on his 35th-year remembrance, Pa Josiah Akindayomi’s first son Kolade on behalf of the family penned a beautiful tribute excerpted below:
Bami yo! Today is another day to remember.
Baami, I can’t forget you because if the dead could rise to see the manifestation of the Lord upon your beginning, middle and our father who took over your previous work, it really cause a great halleluyah, but the ancient land mark of your work still continues by your chosen son(who stands as a father to us all) You told us that God is with him, baami! Everytime I see our daddy Adeboye’ I do remember your words like yesterday.
Daddy! Rest in the blossom of your Lord Jesus christ.
As today marks the 35th years you left us#memories.

Omo busuberan
Omo usunle eesobe
Obe wule usu odi obibo

It’s worthy of note that Pa Josiah Akindayomi has other kids who including Pastors Kolade and Titi are in full support of Pastor Enoch Adeboye who they describe as “Our Daddy”.
