Ignoring threats of sanction from the Federal Government of Nigeria, CNN has released another report on the shooting at Lekki Toll Gate during the #EndSARS protests. Recall that CNN had earlier released an investigative report on incident last week. The government had refuted the claims of CNN tagging it “irresponsible reporting”. The government also wrote a letter to Jonathan Hawkins, VP Communications of CNN addressing the issue. The government said said the report reinforces the disinformation surrounding on the issue. Notwithstanding, CNN today did a second report with more damning footages. The report showed soldiers shooting at unarmed protesters. It also showed protesters running as soldiers opened fire.
