Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio has imposed a nationwide curfew in a bid to curtail the third wave of Coronavirus. Bio announced this in a nationwide address. The 11pm to 5am curfew will apply across the country from Monday. A ban was also placed on large gatherings of more than 50 people. In addition, restrictions were placed on religious activities. Worshipping in churches or mosques is suspended for one month starting from Friday. Every bar and restaurant are to close before 9:00 pm and social gatherings of more than 50 people have also been banned.
