Former Senior Special Assistant to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC). Okupe was quizzed by the anti-graft agency earlier this week, and the second time within a month over his alleged role in a reported graft to the tune of N162 million reportedly disbursed to him from the Office of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Okupe was released yesterday by EFCC because he claimed to have a heart condition and presented a medical report to back his claim.
Meanwhile Okupe returned to Twitter and this time a popular blogger @MrAbuSidiq whose blog {www.abusidiqu.com} published a post headlined ‘$2.1b Arms Scandal: EFCC Interrogates Okupe Over N162m ‘Illicit Payment’ took the PDP chieftain on on his alleged role in the misappropriation of the $2.1 billion arms funds. It was a exchange of words between the Ogun State-born politician and the blogger.
