An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos has ordered the remand of alleged wife killer, Lekan Shonde, in prison for 30 days. The police arraigned him on charges of murder on Friday. This decision is coming after the release of an autopsy report which indicated she died from a respiratory seizure. It will be recalled that the husband of the deceased, Lekan, 51, was alleged to have beaten his wife to death at their home in the Egbeda-Idimu area of Lagos State, a few days ago. He had accused Ronke of sleeping with one Kayode, the general manager of a publishing company. After three days in hiding, Lekan gave himself up to the police.
