The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has agreed to meet all demands raised by the #EndSARS protesters. This followed directives by President Muhammadu Buhari on the dissolution of Special Anti-Robbery Squad and immediate response to yearnings of citizens. The demands includes halting use of force against protesters and unconditional release of arrested citizens. Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) revealed this in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday. According to Tribune Online, the meeting was organized by the Office of the Inspector General of Police and National Human Rights Commission as a multi-stakeholders’ forum. It had in attendance leaders and representatives of civil society organizations in Nigeria, activists from the entertainment industry and the #EndSARS movement and development partners.
