Media entrepreneur, founder of The Pink Ball Foundation, and publisher of Genevieve Magazine, Mrs. Betty Irabor has revealed how she has survived printing the award-winning publication in the past 13 years. Mrs. Irabor revealed this in a series of tweets earlier today when she first tweeted ‘It’s a fine morning here & I’m thinking “How did I ever survive 13 years of media entrepreneurship in Nigeria with such high fatality rate?”
According to her tweets,”It’s funny that as an athlete in my youth I was a sprinter not a marathoner but with Entrepreneurship I have become a marathoner; 13 yrs on. Entrepreneurship is not a dash, it’s a marathon, you may slow down, get your breath back, refresh with water and then get back on track.Along the way, some may cheer & some may sneer, just keep going. You have a race to run, stay on your lane, be consistent. Inhale & exhale.
“A marathon requires discipline, focus, tenacity, resilience, positive affirmations, the right skills, winning attitude & so does enterprise. In a marathon, you may have a false start and think” what’s the point” but with the right attitude you can catch up and overtake.Successful Marathoners don’t keep looking behind them…they look ahead. Looking back is a distraction. In the last marathon a 60 something year old ran the marathon to the finish line… Don’t be defined by age!Marathoners don’t look down they look ahead.”
