Even as many Nigerians allege that first civilian governor of Bayelsa state, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha may not be dead since his funeral rites do not reflect a lying-in-state,former president Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, also an indigene of Bayelsa State, has confirmed the demise of the late politician known as Governor-General. In a personally-signed message published on his verified Facebook page earlier today, Jonathan said,” As we commence the process of sending Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha home, my family and I remember the remarkable life he lived. His lifetime served the purpose of positively transforming the lives of many Nigerians, and we thank God for the pleasure, benefit and honour of knowing the great humanitarian that was DSP. As he goes home, my family and I join numerous well wishers in praying that he finds eternal repose in God, in Whom he believed while alive. Adieu Chief DSP. You are gone but not forgotten. Rest well with your Creator.”There are however unconfirmed reports that Alamieyeseigha’s body will be laid-in-state tomorrow, 9th April 2016.
