The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has said during his administration, there would be no free lunch. Obaseki, who said this at the weekend at the Government House in Benin, said everybody must have to work so as to be able to eat and develop the state. He said “You would find out that our administration would be different if not radically different from the last four years because in the last four years we need to do a lot of politics so as to recover the state from strange people who destroyed the state.
“And by the grace of God we have recovered the state now, so the next four years, we are going to be concentrating on what we need to do and have more governance with less politics so that we can move Edo forward. People are saying when will you make appointment. I said no because we have to agree on what we need to do, how to do it and when we need to do it. When we have done that then we would know who is capable before informing the people who will would be appointed.”
