Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state has declared that any cow seen wandering any parts of the state will be arrested. The Governor disclosed this in an interview with TVC on Thursday, February 18. He said : ”We are banning open grazing. If I see a cow I will arrest it. They can’t move in Akure town. We wouldn’t allow it. It is not going to happen. We must put an end to it”. Recall that EnewsNigeria has earlier reported that the Akeredolu gave new directives to herdsmen and grazing within the state. Also, in a bid to curb the incessant clashes between herders and farmers in the SouthWest, the governors of the South West state on January 25, banned open grazing.
