Lionel Messi paid a heartfelt tribute to Diego Maradona during Barcelona’s 4-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga on Sunday. Upon scoring a beautiful goal, Messi revealed a Newell’s Old Boys shirt under his Barcelona jersey. The legendary Maradona died last Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his home in Buenos Aires. Messi wore a Newell’s shirt with Maradona’s No.10 on the back. The Argentine also mimicked Maradona’s celebration, pointing both hands to the sky. Messi was, howevershown a yellow card by the referee for removing his Barcelona shirt. Maradona spent two seasons at the Camp Nou before joining Napoli in 1984 and two years later he won the 1986 World Cup with Argentina. Maradona played for Newell’s between 1993 and 1994 while Messi played for the club’s academy back in his childhood years.
