Former minister of aviation and PDP chieftain, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode has appealed to President Buhari for the release of Radio Biafra honcho Mr. Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested a few days ago by the Department of State Security. Fani-Kayode made this known via his Facebook timeline saying,” I call on President Buhari to release Nnamdi Kanu. It is unlawful for anyone to be in detention for more than 3 days without being charged to court.”
Fani-Kayode’s Facebook timeline has been flooded with comments. Below are some of the excerpted comments by his followers:
Abdul-mujeeb Bayo Adebolajo It is on record that at the inception of this government, hundreds of suspected terrorists were released from detention hence I find it strange that this same government is more interested in arresting a man who is simply agitating and creating awareness for the emancipation of his people ; a man who has not killed or maimed anyone for his beliefs but the same govt. is yet to make any serious response to the daily bombings in the North of the country and of a belief system that has killed millions around the world and continues to threaten humanity.
If Buhari could support the agitation of Palestine, though it is championed by the terrorist group: Hamas, I see no reason why the agitation for independence of the Ibo people should be resisted especially when such agitation has been for the most part peaceful. It is an inevitable future that Nigeria will someday disintegrate, we are just postponing the evil day. In fact no one is a Nigerian – that label was the mischievous creation of a white man for the British economic convenience. So why are some people too zealous in preserving the lie and falsehood of this contraption?.
Enyinwa Okechukwu Enyinwa Femi fani. Buhari has the right to lock up anybody who have the plan to create division in this great country of ours.. For calling my own Nigeria a zoo he should never see the light again. Femi stop this your rubbish tricks of getting to the hearts of Igbos.. Nigeria is one and will always be..
Nasiru Umar No no no no FFK, u were same person that abused the true Biafran leader late Ojukwu and his wife, how come now u love igbos. What I understand is that u want to remain relevant by all means. Get it right no right thinking Igbo man will pay u for all this noise.
Bello Muhammad Nasir Mr. Kayode….if you are aggrieved, then go to court and seek for the appropriate remedy, is President Buhari a court of law? Is he detaining any one? It baffles me how some self acclaimed activists lacks basic knowledge of the rudiments of our legal system.
Neyosky Mudashiru Ayanniyi Imagine, leader of boko-harams dey where he dey enjoy and u went ahead to arrest another man who never shout a gun!Nah Nigeria i dey see this kind thing o
Collins Mcfc Anudu The Buhari i know cannot release Nnamdi Kanu. Director made a big mistake, to openly give in to arrest,,, or cud it be a planned strategy? Cos i dont believe Nnamdi Kanu is dt stupid. There must be a plan
