The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, has said President Buhari will not appear before the National Assembly(NASS) if the invitation isn’t properly done. Recall that the National Assembly on Thursday summoned Buhari on issues bordering on the dwindling economy. When contacted over the summons, Shehu stated that the president had not been summoned through the established channels of communication. In his words, Shehu said, “There is a channel of communication between the Presidency and the National Assembly which we utilize. So, if they communicate to us through those channels, then the presidency will reply. But as it is now, it remains a newspaper report and newspaper is not a means of communication for the presidency. When they communicate, the presidency will also communicate back.”
