The Defence spokesman, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, on Sunday denied allegations in a recent video released by Boko Haram that some abducted Chibok school girls were killed in air strikes. Abubakar told Daily Trust that the allegations were diversionary and untrue. In his: The aerial equipment we are using is precisional. Just like the one we used in Arepo a few weeks ago. The equipment has the capacity of registering targets and hitting only those targets and that’s what we are using equally in the northeast.Trying to say we use air strikes to kill those girls is diversionary, trying to buy time and it’s not true at all ,however, we are still using our forensic experts to study and verify it’s authenticity.” Abubakar added that the issue of bombing is designed to cause psychological trauma on Nigerians so people should disregard this.
