Members of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) have ensured that all courts across the country under the aegis of the union are shut. This is because the union has commenced an indefinite nationwide strike today, April 6, 2021. The national leadership of JUSUN had disclosed that the strike action is in a bid to demand the financial autonomy of the judiciary. The JUSUN national leadership had in a circular given the federal government a 21 day ultimatum to comply with them. In a circular signed by JUSUN’s General Secretary, I. M. Adetola, all states and zonal heads of the union were directed to comply with the strike.
