Former presidential aspirant and Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, has been allegedly arrested in Abuja again. In reports by Sahara Reporters, Sowore and other activists were carrying out a peaceful procession to mark the New Year when they were arrested by Nigerian security forces in Abuja. Sahara reporters said policemen suspected to be with the Rapid Response Squad stormed Gudu junction in Abuja, took him away with other activists at the location. Earlier last year, Mr Sowore called for revolution and a complete overhaul of Nigeria’s political system due to the level of corruption involved. This act as since seen Sowore arrested and detained multiple times.
