The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity,Mr. Femi Adesina has said Nigerians should be patient with the Buhari-led government. Adesina made this known while speaking on Channels Television’s State of the Nation program yesterday. When asked about the power situation, Adesina said in parts, “Nigerians will have to wait for a while longer before the fuel scarcity problems will be resolved. If some people are now crying that they are in darkness, they should go and hold those who are blowing up the gas pipelines. Government should not be held responsible. It is a 4-year mandate and when you are in a long distance race, you pace yourself. If you dont pace yourself , you will start with a burst of energy and burn out midway. And those who have paced themselves properly will pass you along the way. It is a 4-year mandate, 48 months. This is the 10th month with 38 months to go. You will be surprised. I just pray that those who have been so critical and cynical will be humble enough to eat their words when they see things happening.”
