The Central Bank of Nigeria would release re-designed Naira notes by December 15, 2022. The Governor, Godwin Emefiele, announced this adding that the bank’s existing notes would seize to be regarded as legal tender by January 31, 2023.

Godwin Emefiele destroyed the Naira. However, redesigning the N200, N500 & N1,000 notes will force politicians to either spend their Naira hidden in houses & septic tanks, or bank them by force. CBN Governor got the policy right. But the Naira is N752, so he is still a saboteur.

I asked an Ex banker what’s the advantage of the change of Naira notes move by CBN, he said people who hid money outside bank will be forced to bring it out and spend and will reduce inflation to an extent.
