The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde is expected to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions on Tuesday on allegations of N1trillion fraud preferred against him. Confirming this, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Senator Samuel Anyanwu said: “We are ready to resume our investigation on the petition brought against the EFCC chairman and he had been summoned to appear before us next week Tuesday (November 10). We should have done it much earlier but for the tight schedule of the committee”. The delay in the investigations of the anti-graft agency boss is said to have been caused by the senate’s screening of the ministerial nominees.
