Social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, alias Mompha, on Tuesday has to been remanded at the Ikoyi prison( Correctional Center). This stems from his inability to meet the strict bail conditions imposed by an Ikeja Special Offences Court, Lagos. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned the socialite on January 12, 2021 following accusations that Mompha and his company, Ismalob Global Investment Ltd were involved in a N6 billion fraud. The eight count charges are conspiracy to launder funds obtained through unlawful activity and laundering of funds obtained through unlawful activity.
