The President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has reacted to the recent killing of farmers in Borno State. Recall that the Boko Haram sects killed at least 43 farm workers and injured six in rice fields near Maiduguri, the state capital on Saturday. In a tweet through the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President expressed condemned the killing and griefed over their deaths. The statement was titled, ‘President Buhari Condemns As Insane, Boko Haram Killing Of Farmers in Borno State.’ “I condemn the killing of our hardworking farmers by terrorists in Borno State. The entire country is hurt by these senseless killings. My thoughts are with their families in this time of grief. May their souls Rest In Peace”, the statement read in part.
