President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump departed the White House for the last time today. Trump and the firstly would not be attending the inauguration of incoming Democrat Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States. This move by the President has been heavily criticised. Many have note that the action doesn’t reflect a peaceful transition of power. The President had earlier given his farewell speech from from his office. As I conclude my term as the 45th President of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together. We did what we came here to do — and so much more”, the statement read in part. “This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck — a very important word”, Trump said.
