The senator representing Osun Central{APC}, Prof Sola Adeyeye, has said the reason Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has not been impeached is because he has not been found guilty of committing any offence by the court. Speaking in Abuja on Wednesday, Adeyeye, who spoke at the sideline of the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) luncheon for science journalists, said, “My prayer is that the court will be honest and do a diligent work (on the case). The constitution is clear about this. A man is presumed innocent until he is found guilty by a competent court. Should we now say, go, Saraki? But if I were in Saraki’s shoes, I know what I would have done based on my own conscience. Each of us will live by his own conscience. However, this is not a country where you live by conscience alone, you also live by constitution and laws, and the law says a man is innocent until he’s found guilty by court.”
